History

PASG was founded in September 1992 and has become well known as one of the highest and well respected schools of its time, providing the very best standard of professional training, giving all students the chance to reach their full potential.
The school teaches a variety of styles of dance, drama and singing. Large numbers of students audition for limited places each year. PASG caters for all levels covering the demands/capabilities of each student.
Instructors are highly trained and qualified. This is demonstrated by the widespread success of PASG graduates in almost every branch of the performing arts

Seminars

As well as set classes PASG offers specialised lessons in the form of seminars in which teachers are distinguished specialists actively working in their chosen field. The aim of these seminars is to encourage students to learn about and take part in all aspects of theatre.

Seminars include creating and starring in video shorts, record your own material or a cover, Commedia D’ell Arte, clowning, hip hop and funky dance, TV techniques, stage lighting and theatre/TV make –up - a fusion of techniques for the ultimate performer!

In order to achieve the highest standard of excellence in training students travel annually to London’s West End to work with performers currently appearing in shows such as Sr. Act, Legally Blonde, Chicago, The 39 Steps and many others.

Productions

‘Few schools have retained a production every year but I consider it to be vital that students acquire the art of live theatre performance. I am sure the students will always remember the excitement of these performances’. The annual end of year show is the school’s largest performance, a major production in which every child in the school and only those in the school perform. Groups of students participate in performances during the year- these shows can be dance, drama or a combination of both. Students’ participation cultivates further their performance skills and artistic talent. PASG also affords students the opportunity to work with professional actors in their annual professional panto production. Examples of our shows - The Wiz, Annie, Oliver, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma! Examinations

Students must take the IDTA Musical Theatre examinations each year and LAMDA drama examinations are available and optional.
Students are afforded the opportunity to take professional dance/performer examinations.

In IDTA Musical Theatre the exams consist of performing all three disciplines – dance, singing and drama. Students are awarded certificates. Exams start with preparatory grade and progress through six grades to major exams of Intermediate, Advanced 1 and Advanced 11.
